From Tent to Trench

Did you know that an estimated 250,000 tents are left behind at festivals in Britain each year? Tents comprise close to 17% of all landfill-bound waste in the UK. Based in the UK, Natasha looked to her community to tackle this grave problem by collecting tents to make the shell of sportswear jackets. She’s also using donated baby clothes from her own circle to shred and fill the jackets. By focusing on community-centered, circular, sustainable wear, she’s able to solve two problems at once by creating insulated, comfortable, trendy, and eco-friendly clothing.
