Ecocides and genocides are often treated as a linked yet distinct phenomenon by those who fail to understand how Indigenous Peoples are deeply intertwined with their environment. This class will explore how ecocides and genocides are one and the same through navigating various processes of colonial destruction against Indigenous Peoples and their surrounding nature.
